For Bruno’s birthday we went for a picnic at Coochiemoudio Island, then dinner at Rabe Bay Hogs Breath restaurant. After dinner we came to Bruno and Erica’s home for cake and drinks.

Next day we went to Jumpinpin Inlet and spend the day there enjoying the sand, beach and sun.

The new year's celebration were in Ephraim Island, Paradise Point where Lena and Cagi rented an apartment for the duration of their holidays in Australia.

Ephraim Island is luxury residential development located in the suburb of Paradise Point in the north of Gold Coast, Australia. The development is an artificial island in the Broadwater, connected to the mainland by a 400 metre bridge.

The island is in the form of an “e", and the tail of the “e” is mud-lands. The design provides water frontage to every apartment. The island include a marina, 12 larger buildings (the largest topping 11 stories), a restaurant and up to 30 separate beach houses open to the Broadwater. The marina has a capacity of 115 berths. The project is complete as of mid-2008.

We spent the New Year’s there and enjoyed the 9 pm fireworks from the beach dedicated to the little ones that cannot stay awake until mid-night. We had dinner at one of the restaurants on Ephraim Island and from there to the veranda of the apartment for the mid-night fireworks session welcoming 2007.
